salim
Chairman & Founder
Salim is the founder of the Heart of Enfield Mosque and has been the driving force for the organisation’s creation, management and development since it’s inception in 2012.
Having founded the organisation aged 19, he has since been committed to serving the community of Enfield through this project. He has over 10 years of experience of working in the Muslim community, ranging from working with Mosque communities and leadership teams, Muslim charities including Islamic Relief and Muslim Aid, events management companies and Hajj & Umrah services.
Salim has a degree in aviation Management and alongside running the charity, manages multiple personal ventures.

Imran
Trustee & dIRECTOR OF FUNDRAISING
Imran is a long serving member of the team and a local Enfield resident who joined as a trustee in 2013.
A humanitarian by profession, Imran works for a leading Muslim NGO in fundraising and high net worth donor management and has a strong background and 8 years experience in community fundraising. Imran currently oversees the development of the charity’s fundraising strategy and activities and has played a key role in sustaining the organisation financially having taken lead on creating its key fundraising campaigns.

Zahed
Resident Scholar
Ustadh Zahed joined the team in early 2025 after learning of the ethos, mission and ambitions of the Heart of Enfield Mosque.
With a traditional Islamic sciences education in the Dars Nizami and extended time spent at the Madyafa at Al Azhar alongside a MA in mathematics and computer science from the University of Cambridge, Ustadh Zahed brings a unique energy and passion for the social and spiritual development of individuals and communities to the Heart of Enfield Mosque.
Ustadh Zahed has also undertaken doctoral research and published papers exploring the confluence of artificial intelligence and the Quran. He also brings a wealth of experience from his career in strategy consulting and investment banking.

Mohammad Badr
Director of Learning
Shaykh Mohammad joined the Heart of Enfield Mosque team with a vision to develop the educational and learning delivery in the community of the Mosque.
With a background in Islamic sciences and education, Shaykh Mohammad served as both a teacher and Headteacher for over 20 years at the London East Academy as well as in senior leadership roles for both Safar Academy & Rashidun Supplementary Schools.
Shaykh Mohammad brings a wealth of experience in education, pedagogy and the learning journey of young people to the Mosque and its service users.
